Bradley Jawl is the most recent addition to the CIHC team, and he brings with him an impressive wealth of knowledge, experience, and clinical know-how. Having achieved a BSc. in Kinesiology at McGill University and a Masters degree in Physiotherapy at UBC, Brad’s clinical knowledge is expansive and up to date.
His educational pursuits, however, have extended far beyond these degree programs. He has endeavored to study fitness, strength, and movement theory and can effectively analyze strategies of use—athletic and otherwise—and recognize maladaptive patterns and limiting features. Brad’s ability to tailor a program to these limiting factors makes him an ideal consultant for the athlete who has stalled in their progress, or for anyone who experiences recurring muscular aches and pains.
Bradley’s practice includes the whole spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. However, there are some special interest areas into which Brad has delved deeply; these include chronic pain, osteoporosis, tendinitis/tendinopathy, shoulder pain, post-surgical rehab, and postural pain syndromes.
Typical physiotherapy treatment sessions with Brad include a 45 mins initial consultation that permits him to fully assess your condition as well as initiate treatment. Each subsequent treatment thereafter is 30 mins where Brad is working with you the entire time utilizing his advanced clinical knowledge and skills. He firmly believes in manual therapy and only incorporates electrotherapy techniques such as TENS, US, and microcurrent when he feels it necessary. This comprehensive 1-on-1 attention ensures that you get the highest quality and level of physiotherapy care!
Beyond his professional development Brad has a regular yoga practice, and a life-long love of all racket sports—he has played and coached badminton at the national level. Aside from this, he loves hiking in the mountains around Vancouver and escaping to Whistler when that rare free weekend presents itself.
Brad’s passion for Physiotherapy is reflected in his enthusiasm during treatments and his obsession with expanding his knowledge base.
Columbia Integrated Health Centre is excited to have Brad as part of our health team and we welcome his energy and expertise!
